Great flowing glazes layers of night sky glazes highlight large plant leaves behind a lunar moth. The planter was thrown on the wheel with the saucer and pot made as one piece, trimmed, and bisque fired. Then I used a black underglaze and wax technique to draw the lunar moth and greenery around the outside of the mug. I layered different glazes to build up the colors of the moth and the night sky. The interior is a great mix of blue and brown.
This planter is 4 1/4" tall, with a 3 3/8" base and an attached saucer that is 4" in diameter. The planter opens to a 3 1/4" rim.
