This wheel thrown cache pot is a great addition to any decor. The pot was thrown on a wheel using a white stoneware clay and then texture was carved into the base when the pot was leather hard. Once it was bone dry, it was then fired in a bisque fire to cone 04. Next, I applied 3-5 coats of glaze before it was fired in a cone 6 glaze fire. I love how no two pieces are exactly the same! During the glaze fire, the layered glazes flow and mix to create a unique surface design.
This is a one-of-a kind handmade ceramic piece that is sure to become a favorite. It makes a great gift for any occasion, or as a treat for yourself!
