Shino Succulent Planter

$33.00

This piece was thrown on a wheel using a white stoneware clay. When the pot was leather hard, I carved the designs in the surface. Once it was bone dry, it was then fired in a bisque fire to cone 04. Next, I applied 3-5 coats of glaze before it was fired in a cone 6 glaze fire. The Shino glaze is great at highlighting textures as it breaks with the light and dark colors. I love how no two pieces are alike! During the glaze fire, the layered glazes flow and mix to create a unique surface design on every piece.

Whether this pot is used as a succulent pot or used on your dining table or on the counter to hold this and that, this is a one-of-a kind handmade ceramic piece that is sure to become a favorite. It makes a great gift for any occasion, or as a treat for yourself!
