All of my handmade items are unique, no two are exactly the same. This piece was thrown on a wheel using a white stoneware clay. The foot and drainage holes were cut when it was leather hard. Once it was bone dry, it was then fired in a bisque fire to cone 04. Next, I applied 3-5 coats of glaze before it was fired in a cone 6 glaze fire. I love how no two pieces are exactly the same! During the glaze fire, the layered glazes flow and mix to create a unique surface design on every piece.
This is a one-of-a kind handmade ceramic colander that is sure to become a favorite. It makes a great gift or a wonderful treat for yourself! This colander has a 3" base, is 3 1/2" tall, and opens to a 6" rim.
Although this is dishwasher safe, to protect handmade ceramics, it is recommended to handwash to prevent accidental breakage in the dishwasher.
