All of my handmade items are unique, no two are exactly the same. This bowl was thrown on a wheel using a speckled stoneware clay. Next it was glazed with a black underglaze and then, using the sgraffito technique, the design was carved from the glazed surface while the bowl was still leather hard. Once the bowl was bone dry, it was then fired in a bisque fire to cone 04. Finally, I applied a green celadon glaze to the bowl before it was fired in a cone 6 glaze fire.
This is a one-of-a kind bowl that is sure to become a favorite whether you use it as a small serving bowl, or to hold your favorite cereal or ice cream. It makes a great gift for any occasion, or as a treat for yourself!
Although this is dishwasher safe, to protect handmade ceramics, it is recommended to handwash to prevent accidental breakage in the dishwasher.
