These buttons are white stoneware and all made by hand. They have a white background and are covered with a watercolor style floral made up of pinks, light purple, and greens.
They are sold 2 per card and the cards are $8.00 each.
Buttons measure 1" diameter.
These buttons were made by rolling out the clay and using a shaped cutter to cut the shape of the buttons. When the buttons are leather hard, I carefully mark where I want the holes. Then, I use a series of 4 different sizes of hand tools with a drill end to make the holes progressively larger as I go. I paint the buttons with underglaze while the buttons are still leather hard. The buttons are kept flat until they are bone dry. Then, they are bisque fired to cone 04. Finally, they are glazed with a clear glaze and fired to cone 6.
