These heart patterned buttons are created by rolling out my clay then cutting the oval shape. Once they are leather hard, I make the button holes and clean up the edges. After the buttons are bone dry, I paint them with several coats of underglaze. They are then fired in a bisque kiln at cone 04 and then they are painted with a clear glaze before being fired one more time at cone 6.
While handmade ceramic buttons are durable, I recommend hand washing all handmade items to make sure they are getting the best care for a long life.
These buttons measure 1 1/4" long x 7/8" wide.
I sell them as 2 buttons on a card.
