My flower buttons are so versatile and can be used in so many different ways. These buttons have pink petals with a yellow center. They are 1" in diameter with 2 holes.

These handmade ceramic buttons are made by rolling out slabs of clay and then cutting the shapes. When they become leather hard, I clean the edges and put the holes in them. When they are bone dry I fire them in a bisque fire at cone 04. Then I glaze them with a 2-3 layers of mid-range glaze and fire them again at cone 6. This process vitrifies the clay, which makes them strong, and makes the glaze colors vibrant and rich. These buttons are great for knitting, crocheting, or sewing. The perfect accent or embellishment for a bag, hat, or cardigan.
