These buttons are white stoneware and all made by hand. They are shades of cream with shades of purple in some of the recessed areas. Very subtle coloring.
They are sold 2 per card and each card is $8.00.
Buttons measure 1" diameter.
These buttons were made by rolling out the clay and using wooden roller with a carved design to press in the design in the clay. Then, I used a shaped cutter to cut the shape of the buttons. When the buttons are leather hard, I carefully mark where I want the holes. Then, I use a series of 4 different sizes of hand tools with a drill end to make the holes progressively larger as I go. The buttons are kept flat until they are bone dry. Then, they are bisque fired to cone 04. Finally, they are glazed and fired to cone 6.
