This piece was thrown on a wheel using a brown stoneware clay. Next trailing leaves were carved to create a plant design. Once the mug was bone dry, it was then fired in a bisque fire to cone 04. Finally, I applied several coats of 3 different oxides to each plant and then I used a glaze for the areas around the leaves on the outside and a green glaze was used in the inside before firing to Cone 6 for the glaze fire.
