Bright Green Ginkgo Patterned Small Plate
This is a one-of-a kind handmade ceramic plate that can also be used as a spoon rest or tea bag holder, kind of a 'catch anything' dish that can easily be used on a counter or on a side table next to your favorite chair. This piece was molded by hand by rolling the ginkgo texture into a white stoneware clay and then molding the clay with a form. Once it was bone dry, it was then fired in a bisque fire to cone 04. Next, I applied 3-5 coats of glaze before it was fired in a cone 6 glaze fire. I love how no two pieces are exactly the same! During the glaze fire, the layered glazes flow and mix to create a unique surface design on every piece.
It makes a great gift for any occasion, or as a treat for yourself!
