Red and White Mushroom and Ferns Discover Magnet
My handmade ceramic magnets are made by rolling out slabs of clay and then cutting the shapes. When they become leather hard, I clean the edges and paint them with underglazes and fire them in a bisque fire at cone 04. Then I glaze them with a clear glaze and fire them again at cone 6. This process vitrifies the clay, which makes them strong, and makes the glaze colors vibrant and rich. These magnets are just the right size to stuff a stocking!
