These buttons are white stoneware and all made by hand. They are sold individually and are $6.00 each.
Buttons measure 1 3/8" long by 1" wide.
These buttons were made by rolling out the clay and using my handmade stamp to stamp the design. Then, I used a rectangle shaped cutter to cut the shape of the buttons. When the buttons are leather hard, I carefully mark where I want the holes. Then, I use a series of 4 different sizes of hand tools with a drill end to make the holes progressively larger as I go. The buttons are kept flat until they are bone dry. Then, they are bisque fired to cone 04. Finally, they are glazed and fired to cone 6.
