Collection: Katno's Button Box

I create handmade ceramic buttons by rolling out slabs of clay and then cutting the shapes. When they become leather hard, I clean the edges and put the holes in them. Then, I either paint designs on them before the bisque fire, or I add layers of color to them after the bisque fire. All of my buttons are put through a glaze fire that fires to cone 6.  This process vitrifies the clay, which makes them strong, and makes the glaze colors vibrant and rich. These buttons are great for use in  knitting, crocheting, or sewing. The perfect accent or embellishment for a bag, hat, or cardigan. Items that use handmade buttons can be washed on a gentle cycle, but due to the fact they are handmade and one of a kind, I would recommend handwashing.
