While full of details, it is still a durable stoneware bowl.\n\nAll of my handmade items are unique, no two are exactly the same. This piece was thrown on a wheel using a white stoneware clay. Once it was bone dry, it was then fired in a bisque fire to cone 04. Next, I applied a black wax drawing. After the bowl dried for 3-4 hours, I carefully added  3-5 coats of glaze in all of the details as well as 4 layers of glaze in all of the brown areas. Then, the bowl was fired in a cone 6 glaze fire. I love how no two pieces are exactly the same!
