This ornament is created by using a wooden mold with white clay and then carving and inscribing details into the clay. Once it is leather hard, it is painted with a black underglaze that is then wiped back to just show in the background and in the detail lines. Then color is added to the design. The finished design is fired to cone 06 and then it is glazed with a clear glaze and fired to Cone 6.
Each ornament is unique due to the process of making each one individually by hand.
