Great flowing glazes layers of night sky glazes highlight large plant leaves behind a lunar moth. The mug was thrown on the wheel, trimmed, and a handle was added before the bisque fire. Then I used a black underglaze and wax technique to draw the lunar moth and greenery around the outside of the mug. I layered different glazes to build up the colors of the moth and the night sky. The interior is a great mix of blue and brown.
This mug holds 10 ounces, with a 1 3/4" foot, it is 4 1/4" tall with a 3 1/2" rim.
