This hand thrown ceramic bowl is made with a speckled stoneware clay that has a rich surface design created with a black wax resist that fires to a matte black outline. Color is added with layers of glaze carefully filling within the wax outlines. The layers of glaze combine to create one of a kind designs in the high fire glaze fire. The stoneware is suitable for hot or cold or anything in between. While this piece can be used in the microwave and dishwasher, I always recommend washing quality handmade ceramic pieces by hand.
This piece has a 2 5/8" base, stands 3" tall and opens to a 5 3/4" rim. It is a great bowl for serving something special on a table, or for holding something special on a shelf. A special bowl for special times.
