For anyone who loves looking down at the water's edge of a river or creek and looking at all the different colors of rocks, my River Rock pieces are for you. I really enjoy layering different glazes in and around the stone outlines I created with a black underglaze and wax drawing. Each stone is created by layering 3-4 layers of glaze and each stone is a combination of at least 2 glazes.
This piece can be used as a small succulent planter, a small yunomi style tea cup, or just as a catchall for this and that on a shelf.
The base of this piece is 2" and it stands 2 3/4" tall with a 3 1/2" rim. This cup holds 6 ounces and because it's stoneware, it can be used for anything hot or cold.
