Great flowing glazes layers of night sky glazes highlight bits of hemlock around 2 lunar moths . The mug was thrown on the wheel, trimmed and a handle was added before the bisque fire. Then I used a black underglaze and wax technique to draw the lunar moths and greenery around the outside of the mug. I layered different glazes to build up the colors of the moths and the night sky. The interior is a great mix of blues and greens.
This mug holds 10 ounces, with a 2 1/2" base, it is 3 1/2" tall with a 3 1/2" rim.
