Copper and White Spoon Rest/Shallow Dish

This is a one-of-a kind handmade ceramic dish that can easily be used in the kitchen as a spoon rest, or on a counter or shelf to catch this and that. You can even use it to catch your favorite jewelry. With the white glaze and the swirls of copper glaze, both thick and thin, it has a very painterly look to it while being smooth to the touch. It's a great complement to any decor. It makes a great gift for any occasion, or as a treat for yourself!

This piece has a 3 1/2" base, is just 1 1/2" tall, and opens to a 5 1/2" rim.

All of my handmade items are unique, no two are exactly the same. This piece was thrown on a wheel using a white stoneware clay. Once it was bone dry, it was then fired in a bisque fire to cone 04. Next, I applied 3-5 coats of glaze before it was fired in a cone 6 glaze fire. I love how no two pieces are exactly the same! During the glaze fire, the layered glazes flow and mix to create a unique surface design on every piece.

Although this is dishwasher safe, to protect handmade ceramics, it is recommended to handwash to prevent accidental breakage in the dishwasher.
