This yunomi has a unique, black aventurine finish which gives the surface a glitter-like appearance. Completely food safe, nothing will actually come off, it's just the look of the glaze.
The yunomi has a 2 3/8" base, stands 3" tall, and opens to a 3 1/2" rim.
All of my handmade items are unique, no two are exactly the same. This piece was thrown on a wheel using a white stoneware clay. Once it was bone dry, it was then fired in a bisque fire to cone 04. Next, I applied 3-5 coats of glaze before it was fired in a cone 6 glaze fire. I love how no two pieces are exactly the same! During the glaze fire, the layered glazes flow and mix to create a unique surface design on every piece.

Although this is dishwasher safe, to protect handmade ceramics, it is recommended to handwash to prevent accidental breakage in the dishwasher.
