All of my handmade items are unique, no two are exactly the same. This cup/whiskey sipper was thrown on a wheel using a speckled stoneware clay. Next it was glazed with a black underglaze and then, using the sgraffito technique, the design was carved from the glazed surface while the tumbler was still leather hard. Once the tumbler was bone dry, it was then fired in a bisque fire to cone 04. Finally, I applied a green celadon glaze to the cup/sipper before it was fired in a cone 6 glaze fire.
This is a one-of-a kind cup/sipper that is sure to become a favorite whether you use it for drinks that are cold, hot, or anything in between. It makes a great gift for any occasion, or as a treat for yourself!
Although this is dishwasher safe, to protect handmade ceramics, it is recommended to handwash to prevent accidental breakage in the dishwasher.
